Fantasy, a decentralized card game blending fantasy betting and card trading, has secured $4.25 million in a seed round led by Dragonfly, with additional backing from Manifold Ventures. The company intends to use the funding to enhance its trading card game and fantasy betting experiences.
Known by its website URL, Fantasy.top, the platform also unveiled the launch of its V2, featuring a host of new updates. The upgraded version introduces a Pack Shop, allowing users to explore various ways to collect cards from packs like Jade, Emerald, Sapphire, Lavender, and Shiny. Additionally, advanced tactics and new game modes are being added to enrich gameplay.
To celebrate the V2 launch, Fantasy announced an exciting airdrop, offering 25 Fragments to all current players and 20 to new users who register within the next five days. Fragments, the smallest units of a card, can be stacked and redeemed to unlock different rarity levels. Players can earn them through competition, shopping, or burning common cards, using them strategically in the Pack Shop to boost their collections.
In a statement about the fundraising, Fantasy.top expressed excitement about partnering with Dragonfly, a top VC with a proven track record of supporting groundbreaking projects, while also thanking Manifold Ventures for their ongoing support.
