Prequel Secures $3.3M in Seed Funding to Drive Growth and Innovation
Prequel, a New York City-based provider of a community-driven platform for problem detection and management in cloud applications, has raised $3.3 million in Seed funding.
The funding round was led by Work-Bench, with additional participation from Runtime Ventures, Operator Partners, Shay Banon (CTO of Elastic), Jon Oberheide (CTO of Duo Security), Monica Sarbu (CEO of Xata), and Andrew Morris (CTO of GreyNoise). The company plans to use the investment to expand its operations and further develop its platform.
Founded by Lyndon Brown and Tony Meehan, Prequel aims to improve the reliability of high-availability fintech, infrastructure, and SaaS applications. The AI-powered platform proactively identifies potential failure conditions and suggests mitigations, helping engineering teams accelerate development, prevent incidents, and reduce cloud costs.
At the core of Prequel is a patent-pending, AI-enhanced in-cluster detection engine designed specifically for reliability. This technology can efficiently perform thousands of real-time detections per second on a continuous stream of low-level telemetry, all while ensuring that raw data never leaves the customer’s cluster. Prequel’s solution is already deployed by several Fortune 500 companies.
